Melt the ICE Codex

In case you weren't aware, Foul Fox is a Minnesota based company. I live in Saint Paul, and Jace in Minneapolis. Since the beginning of the year, every exciting discussion we've had talking about what we want to create has been burdened by the knowledge of whats going on in our cities. We've been to protests and continue to do what we can to support our communities, but at the same time it is hard to be excited about a personal project when there is such intense tragedy happening in our community.Rather than try to keep these things separate, we decided to make something about it. Melt the ICE Codex is a special release coming out this Saturday which features 3 new subclasses, 2 reprints, and 1 subclass coming out in our February release as well as several new spells. All the earnings we make from sales of Melt the ICE Codex will be donated to organizations fighting to protect our city, and those who have been affected by the violence happening here.If you are interested in giving more, we're happy to direct you to a worthy cause in the area and will provide a PDF of Melt the ICE with proof of any donation send to our email [email protected]. You voted, now here are the winners!Last year, we had our fans vote for their favorite concepts picking from archived ideas that hadn't made it into a codex or unused concepts that were never fully developed. Foul Fox was founded in 2025 by Jace Claxton and Satchel Shah.Satchel (he/him) lives in Saint Paul, Minnesota with two cats and his fiance Shrike. Gawain the cat is in charge of the household and did name the company herself. Satchel is a forever GM who currently runs Tales of the Valiant, 5th edition, and Monster of the Week. Satchel started playing in 2016.Jace (he/him) lives in Minneapolis, Minnesota and lives with his plant who hasn't told anyone its name yet. He both plays and game masters depending on the night of the week, and even has a few nights a week where he doesn't do either. Jace started playing in 2022 but has been playing twice as much as anyone should to make up for lost time.
